In 2005, having previously not been a sportsperson, my mother decided that she would take up golf. She was a complete novice, and earned a rather mean nickname in our house due to her lack of ability.
“I don’t have a musical bone in my body”, “I’m not sporty, no one in my house is”, “I was never good at maths”. I am sure that at some point in our lives, we have all encountered someone saying one or more of these statements.
Children, without a doubt, are affected by the fast pace of modern family life. Children can also be affected by stressful events, such as moving to a new country or moving to a new school. Therefore, it makes sense that our children need a way to manage stress and anxiety.
